And speaking of Cacao, Kathryn Laurain wrote to say that one can buy raw cacao beans in the market for around Q10/lb. She says to soak them for 10 minutes in water and then use your thumb nail to slip off the skin. Let them dry and use your coffee or spice grinder to make a powder. Add to your smoothy, desserts, etc. YUM! Thanks, Kathryn!

Kathryn Laurain has also been coordinating delivery of organic produce from CAOBA Farms near Antigua. All have been very pleased with the quality. There are a few specific things that are available to order, in addition or instead of the baskets: Kale (Q17), romaine (Q22), salad mix (Q37) are already cleaned and ready to eat. They have been dividing the baskets between two people in most cases. More information is available in the blog dated Jan. 14, 2013. Or contact Kathryn at: 3076-7162.

This information comes from Armand Boissy about the many different groups that are requesting money for the Santa Cruz Feria in May. All commentary is from Armand. He hopes that this information will help you make an informed decision on which group or groups to donate to.
- Comite in Charge of the Convite
The Convite is a group that goes around the street in full disguise. People can rent a costume and participate. They are asking money to rent the costumes (Q250 each), to buy fireworks, water for the ones doing the CONVITE, rope to delimitate the area of the group, transport the costumes from Quiche, and a band to play during the afternoon and the night.
- Comite Pro Fiesta Santa Elena De La Cruz
This group is the one working for the traditional procession and according to my (Armand) information will be receiving money from the Municipalidad.
- Unnamed group
Not much information is available on this group except that they want money for a band, which is Q5,000 more expensive than the first group's proposal.

One class offered for Q100. Why one class? It’s so simple more classes would be superfluous. Money back guarantee if dissatisfied for any reason.
Basically you will just see how it is done en casa, as someone makes her weekly batch of yogurt. Many litros done at a time. Labor time approximately fifteen minutes
