This week's Photo of the Week was taken by LauraBelle Burgess of Jaibalito on August 20, 2014. The sunrise photos almost looks like San Pedro is puffing out a beautiful pink, mauve cloud!
If you have any photos you would like to submit for Photo of the Week, please let me know through the Contact Form. Photos of the Week can be anything related to the Lake Atitlán area.

In honor of World Rabies Day, 28 September Ayuda Para la Salud de Peros y Gatos is sponsoring special vaccination clinics throughout the month. Dogs and cats will be offered rabies vaccines for free and combos for free or low-cost, depending upon qualification. Ayuda needs to raise $2000 to purchase a variety of combo vaccines for the campaign: dog combos with Lepto; dog combos without Lepto; Parvo only; cat combos; and cat FLVs. Please help us reach our goal no later than 10 September. These diseases plague the Lake Atitlán region where the majority of the population still lives under the international poverty line. This is a life-saving campaign for animals and humans!
Help Ayuda provide a minimum of 600 life-saving vaccinations during the month of September! Donations of any size help the cause. Go to GOFUNDME: http://www.gofundme.com/d9ybe0

There is a new Public Group on Facebook where anyone on Lake Atitlán can ask for free advice on anything computer or electronics related including repair advice and how to tips and also ask for and share advice on good computer products, software, decent websites etc. The group is run by Steve and he says he is available to all 24/7. I did a quick perusal of the page and see that he covers both PC and Apple products including iPads, iPhones, etc. Looking for help with Windows 8? (I know you are!) Lots of stuff on good websites too. Take a look.
