Troka the Mighty, is a musical piece by Silvestre Revueltas. Based on the estridentista movement that emerged in response to the official cultural policy of the twenties, the show takes the aesthetics and literature movement of Manuel Maples Arce and German List Arzubide, and engravings of Ramon Alba de la Canal and Fermín Revueltas.
Mighty Troka represents the strength of human inventiveness, their ability to create tools and machines to meet everyday life and access to better social and spiritual existence. The machine also disposed of, contaminates, and is an instrument of exploitation of man by man. What is the judicious use of the machine? How is the relationship between man and machine balances?

Santa Cruzians - I wanted to write a note to the community to say farewell and let you all know how much I have enjoyed living here and all of your company and friendships. Santa Cruz is a special place and we have all created a beautiful community. I have always felt cared for, stimulated by the creativity of all our gifts and interests and enjoyed this super special life that we have all been blessed with. I will miss each and every one of you and hope to keep in touch. We will
be back for visits and who knows perhaps to live again in the not so distant future. This is my home, and my heart place. Please welcome Josie to the community, I am sure she will be a great addition to our circle. Sending love to you all, Lizzy

On Sunday we went to Mister Jon's Desayunos located at the Casa Cakchiquel. We had an amazing brunch/breakfast. I ordered the Eggs Hemingway which was an Eggs Benedict with a twist - perfectly poached eggs, smoked salmon instead of ham and a delectable hollandaise sauce. And the coffee mug is never empty. Open 8AM-12PM Closed Mondays. 4298 1415
After noon Mister Jon's morphs into Restaurante Hana with amazing Japanese fare. Oh, and Sunday evening at 7 p.m. they offer up a free movie at 7 p.m. Can't beat that!
Check out their menu and give them a try. You won"t be sorry.
